The Out of Home Abuse and Neglect Unit (OHAN) in State Office is required to investigate allegations of child abuse and neglect in out of home settings defined by state statute as licensed foster homes, group and residential homes and institutions, and child day care facilities. (Reference SC Code of Laws Ann. Section 63-7-1210 and Human Services Policy and Procedures Manual Chapter 7, Section 721). For more information, click here.
